A new school year at Volodarske School No. 1
A photo report and words of thanks from the school led for more than 20 years by the foundation founder’s grandfather.
“It is a great pleasure to receive such photo reports and words of thanks. It is a great honour for me to support the school in Volodarske near Mariupol, which for more than 20 years was led by my grandfather, Alexey Konstantinovich,” Vladimir Kovalev wrote at the start of the school year.
By the start of the year the pupils had received exercise books, pens and everything else they needed for their lessons. “Every rucksack and every pen is a small brick in the foundation of these children’s future.” It matters that children have every opportunity for a good education, and that a new school year begins with moments of joy.
“I was very touched by the warm welcome, and I always come to visit with great pleasure. Thank you for your work and for your kind words!”
The project continues
More than 600 pupils. The school’s boiler house has reached the end of its service life — the foundation is running a project to rebuild it, so that the children can learn in the warmth.
