Beneficiaries
A school and a church in Volodarske
Two beneficiaries with whom the story of the foundation began — and two projects the foundation runs today.
More than 600 pupils. The school’s boiler house has reached the end of its service life — the foundation is running a project to rebuild it, so that the children can learn in the warmth.
An active parish in Volodarske near Mariupol. The church is currently heated with wood and coal — the foundation is running a project for a gas boiler house, which is both more reliable and more economical.
A music and educational project bringing together young musicians and songwriters from all four regions of Novorossiya — the DPR, the LPR, and the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions.
From destruction — to creation. From silence — to music.
A competition, an educational programme, a gala concert and digital distribution within a single system for supporting talent and integrating the culture of the macroregion into the wider Russian space.

History
A foundation that began with a single school
The story of the foundation began long before it was registered. Since 2022, from the liberation of Mariupol, Vladimir Kovalev has taken Volodarske School No. 1 into his care — the State Budgetary Educational Institution “Volodarske School No. 1 named after Hero of the Soviet Union A. D. Yakimenko”: engineering systems and the boiler house, computer equipment, teaching materials, activities for the children.
For Vladimir this is a family story. His father lives in Volodarske, and his grandfather — Alexey Konstantinovich Kovalev, a front-line veteran and holder of the Order of the Red Star — was head of that very school for more than 20 years, from 1967.
On 29 December 2025 this work was put on a systematic footing: the Wings of Dream Charitable Foundation was registered. A team is being formed to support the beneficiaries continuously, and alongside targeted help the foundation is preparing a cultural project in Mariupol.
