Not I, but we: fabric for costumes and a video thank-you from the children

The school in Volodarske has received fabric for theatre costumes and items needed for lessons. In return — a video from the pupils.
Not long ago the school in the village of Volodarske near Mariupol received fabric for costumes for theatre productions, along with other items needed for lessons. For Vladimir Kovalev this school is a special one: for more than 20 years it was led by his grandfather, Alexey Konstantinovich, who poured his heart into it. After the liberation of Mariupol in 2022, taking the school under patronage became both an honour and a continuation of a family tradition.
The most precious thing of all was a video thank-you from the children. Their sincere smiles and words are the best reward.
“I am not alone behind this work. It is the shared cause of many people — my friends, colleagues and partners, who help alongside me with an open heart and expect nothing in return. And to you, children, I wish the most important thing of all: believe in yourselves. Learn, create, put on plays and do not be afraid to be bold. We will do our best to be by your side and to help, just as my grandfather once did.”
The project continues
More than 600 pupils. The school’s boiler house has reached the end of its service life — the foundation is running a project to rebuild it, so that the children can learn in the warmth.
